Seeing 2018 (#79)

For your consideration:  the simply delightful daughter of one of my best friends, taking in her first ever Major League baseball game (Yankees vs A's).

While eighteen handsomely-paid grown-ups played a single game between chalk boundaries for two hours, adhering to rigid and complex rules, this charming youngster had considerably more fun creating her own myriad entertainments along entirely different lines.

Witnessing the innocence of such free-form pleasure was its own reward.  (The Yank's overwhelming 9-2 victory, it must be noted, also provided her parents great satisfaction.  Whether Gretta much cared is doubtful.)
