Seeing 2009 (#90)

This time, a personally unprecedented offering: a composite image constructed from two photographs taken months apart. Forgive the roughness of it -- I'm not yet nearly the master of digital post-processing I strive to become.

Over the course of many years I've often reflected upon the mysteries of courtship, romance, and how frequently it seems risky to reveal our true selves, particularly in those first, tentative encounters. This submission attempts to comment on this struggle.

  1. First date or long term relationship, I've experienced both sides. As to the latter, the male is there physically, but where's his head at and just how can he remove her's and get away with it? Maybe things are better off as displayed. The female head has the male body for it's strength and comfort, while the male head is off with the female's body doing...? Well the things that male heads do with female bodies in their mind. Perhaps an honest admission of a recent thought? Larga vida a la primera enmienda!
